Step 1b: QuantVue NinjaTrader Toolkit

Introduction to the Toolkit:

The QuantVue NinjaTrader Toolkit can be installed automatically or manually depending on the user's preference. This guide will be split up into Automatic and Manual sections.

For clarity, the automatic installer will place the Tools, ATM template, and Workspace templates into their respective folders for you. For the manual install path, you will be importing the indicator/strategy assembly files one by one, then placing the ATM and Workspace template .xml files in the respective folders manually.

All installation paths require users to download the QuantVue Ninjatrader Toolkit installer. The installer can be downloaded by following this link.

Installing the Installer:

1. Run the installer by double clicking the file that was downloaded.

2. If you get the warning as shown below, click "More info". Then click "Run Anyway". This warning is generated because the QuantVue Installer app has not been code signed by Microsoft.

1. Follow the instructions on the installer. Change personal preferences where desired.

1. The .NET 8 runtime is required for the QuantVue installer to run and function. If the installer does not detect it on your computer, it will notify you and offer to download and install it as part of the installation procedure.

Automatic Toolkit Installation:

If you would like to install manually, skip this section.

1. Please be sure to exit out of NinjaTrader completely before continuing.

2. Open the QuantVue Ninjatrader Toolkit installer.

3. Ensure that the Automatic Installation Method is selected by selecting the associated radio button.

1. Select which Subscription Tier you subscribe to by selecting the associated radio button.

1. Click the Install button.

1. If the installer completes successfully, all tools, ATMs, and workspaces have been installed on your system. Open NinjaTrader and begin using the QuantVue tools!

Note: If the installer detects OneDrive, it will warn you of its presence and attempt to install the toolkit in the correct location. OneDrive is not supported by NinjaTrader and can cause many issues. If you open NinjaTrader and the QuantVue tools are not present, it is likely a directory issue cause by OneDrive. NinjaTrader's official stance on this matter is to unlink and remove OneDrive, then performing a clean installation of NinjaTrader. Consult the official NinjaTrader support website for these instructions.

Manual Installation:

If you installed with automatic mode, skip this section.

1. Please be sure to exit out of NinjaTrader completely before continuing.

2. Open the QuantVue Ninjatrader Toolkit installer.

3. Ensure that the Manual Installation Method is selected by selecting the associated radio button.

1. Select which Subscription Tier you subscribe to by selecting the associated radio button.

1. Click the Download button.

1. Navigate to the QuantVue folder in your downloads directory.

2. Inside the unzipped folder you should have ATS, ELITE, PRO, templates, and workspaces folders.

1. Copy the templates and workspaces folders into C:\Users\oosti\Documents\NinjaTrader 8

2. Open NinjaTrader.

3. Open the import tool by clicking Tools -> Import -> NinjaScript Add-on

1. Using the popup import window, navigate to the QuantVue folder in your Downloads directory.

2. In the ATS, ELITE, and PRO folders, there will be individual zip files. Using the popup import window, select the desired indicator or strategy and click open.

1. NinjaTrader will give you a popup confirmation when the import is complete.

2. Repeat the import steps until all the desired indicators and strategies have been imported.
